Welcome to the Firewall Guild homepage. We are a friendly group of online gamers dedicated to playing the Destruction side of Warhammer Online. We reside on the Wasteland server and enjoy all aspects of the game, from RvR to PvE. Firewall is a very personal, social, and family-oriented guild. The gaming atmosphere from within the guild is very relaxed. We have organized events however there are no requirements or obligations for attendance. We're all adults (Must be 18+ to join) and we understand that everyone has a life outside of Warhammer. If you're interested in joining Firewall, we'd love to hear from you. Due to my severe lack of time invested on the game, I'm sure most of you have gained some insight into my overwhelming disappointment with Mythic's so-called epic game. WAR just had way too many bugs that frustrated me to a level where I was plotting the deaths of their developers. Despite the Nvidia graphics card stuttering bug that wasn't getting addressed or even acknowledged by Mythic, I hated the PvP combat mechanics. Seeing as how the game is completely centered around Player versus Player, I figured that I best just cut my losses now and save myself the frustration of trying to deal with the unbalanced and poorly designed combat. Who knows? Maybe I'll come back in 6 months and find that the game has had a major overhaul and is now great. But with Mythic having 4 years to look at WoW to see how a good MMORPG PvP game is written, they sure dropped the ball on this. Diablo3 can't come soon enough. Take care all! Lardbucket.... OUT! Posted By: Drew Posted On: 10/17/2008 A Wasteland Server First! Biletongue Defeated! It started with just a few folks doing a Chapter 8 PQ quest in Troll County (Chaos territory) and someone asking me if I thought I could tank Biletongue, the level 17 Lord. I told him that if I had enough healers behind me, that I could tank anything. Well, sure enough, he started rattling off names of healers to invite because he wasn't going to rest until we've tried taking down this boss. Now, I've seen this guy... he's big. And by big, I mean pretty darn big. I accidentally aggroed him while doing the Troll PQ and lasted all of about 5 seconds when he hit me for over 1700 repeatedly. Keep in mind that I'm a toughness tank that mitigates 57dps at this point, so for a squishy, that's insta-death in 1 hit. We gathered the troops, formed the warband, and I rushed in on stage 2. I had a pretty solid stream of green numbers floating up my screen as I was getting constantly healed. The group managed to get him down to 75% and stage 3 started. He walks away and 5 champs spawn in. They were dispatched easily enough leaving just Biletongue remaining. We caught our breath and I rushed back in. It was a long and ugly battle. Biletongue has an AOE knockdown ability that drops everyone, including the tank, near him. It even disregards my rank 2 morale ability of 100% blocking. Whenever he knocked me down, he immediately took off after the ranged healers and casters. If I didn't get on my feet and have a taunt ready, they were reduced to paste in 1 hit. So there was some combat-rezzing of healers and DPSers from time to time as he ping-ponged back and forth from melee'ers to dps'ers. It took around 10 minutes, but the group widdled him down to nothing. I'm happy that Firewall had the chance to represent itself during the Wasteland server-first defeat of this boss. What's even better is that Dani (Tyre) managed to win 1st place in the roll and got the epic prize. Funny thing, Mythic hasn't even drawn in an icon for the ring she won yet! LOL. (My lvl 17 Chaos Marauder pictured left) but now it's Go-Live time! So fasten your seat belt and keep your hands inside the car at all times because it's going to be a wild ride. For those of us that pre-ordered (which is pretty much all of us), we'll be jumping into the game tomorrow during the Head Start. During this time, we'll hopefully get quite a lead over the swarms of folks that will be joining on the public release date. For those of you playing similar classes to another Firewall member, questing and playing together would be great and make things easier so be sure to coordinate things on our forums.
